American Police Officers Alliance Applauds White House Designation of Antifa as a Terrorist Organization

WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 18, 2025 – The American Police Officers Alliance, a national organization dedicated to supporting law enforcement, today issued a statement strongly praising President Trump’s official designation of Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization. The Alliance views this decision as a crucial and long-overdue step to protect American communities and the police officers sworn to defend them.

For years, the American Police Officers Alliance has been at the forefront of efforts to expose Antifa’s organized, violent extremism. The group’s militants have consistently targeted law enforcement officers, destroyed public and private property, and sought to destabilize cities through coordinated violence.

“This is a monumental victory for every police officer who has had a brick, a frozen water bottle, or a firework thrown at them by a black-clad militant,” said Daniel Stuebs, Executive Director of the American Police Officers Alliance. “President Trump’s decisive action honors the sacrifice of our officers and reaffirms that in this country, we stand for law and order, not anarchy and chaos. For too long, our officers have been on the front lines confronting this violence while many politicians and media figures looked the other way.”

This official designation provides federal law enforcement with the critical tools needed to investigate, disrupt, and prosecute Antifa’s criminal networks. It reframes the national conversation, moving past the disingenuous narrative of “mostly peaceful protests” to confront the reality of a dangerous movement rooted in anti-American, anarchist ideology.

This action follows years of advocacy by the American Police Officers Alliance, which has led public awareness campaigns and legislative efforts to expose Antifa’s violent tactics.

“While some were silent, our organization and its supporters have been sounding the alarm,” Stuebs added. “This designation is a direct result of that relentless pressure. It is a win for public safety and sends a clear message that political violence has no place in our society. We will continue our work to ensure our law enforcement heroes have the support and resources they need to keep our nation safe.”
