American Police Officers Alliance releases statement on Nashville, TN voters approving Amendment 1

ARLINGTON, Virginia – Dan Stuebs, Political Director of the American Police Officers Alliance, issued a statement relating to Nashville voters approving Amendment 1 creating a police oversight board.

“The decision by voters in Nashville to approve a police oversight board without corresponding law enforcement experience is very disappointing,” said Stuebs. “Despite the defeat in Nashville, the American Police Officers Alliance will be committed to educating the public nationwide about issues relating to oversight boards.”

Amendment 1 was approved by the voters of the City of Nashville by a margin of 59 percent to approve the amendment and 41 percent opposed.
